4 NEW tracks!

SUN DESCENDS have posted 4 new tracks off their new album "The Entropy Formula", on their Myspace page. The 10 track album, which is released on Khaosmaster Productions this month and via Twilight Distribution in the fall, will be the last band's last output for 2008 and 2009.

Mem V.Stein who also fronts German cult thrash EXUMER will return with a new SUN DESCENDS album in 2010, after the EXUMER reunion in 2009.

"The Entropy Formula" will also be released on limited edition vinyl later this year and will incorporate the artwork of Sean Taggart (Crumbsuckers, Agnostic Front, Carnivore).

SD signs deal for new CD!

Sun Descends have signed deals with Khaosmaster Productions (Puerto Rico) and Twilight Distribution (Germany) for US and European release of their new album "The Entropy Formula". Both labels have scheduled the CD release for Spring of 2008. The artwork for the European and US outputs will differ slightly and both will feature illustrations by Sean Taggart.

New permanent bassist!

SD has added the newest permanent member to their roster. KO Thunder, hailing from Istanbul- Turkey, is the band's bassist and joined SD in summer 07.

New Track on SD's Myspace

Sun Descends premiered the first song from their new cd titled "The Entropy Formula", on the band's Myspace site. The 6 minute track "3 Corners of Hell" is the first new material to  surface in 1 1/2 years since the band's first full-length release in early 2006.

The band is going to negotiate a North American deal for the new album and is currently looking for a suitable label.

Update 07/26/07-Album almost completed!

SD's latest album:” The Entropy Formula", is currently being mastered in Memphis, Tennessee. The band will release one new track on SD’s My Space site, once the tapes have been approved and back in Queens, NY.

SD enters studio.

SD will enter Big Blue Meenie Studios (Sepultura, Overkill, SOD etc.) in New Jersey this week (06/22/07), to record their follow-up album to 2006's "Incinerating the Meek". The up-coming cd titled "The Entropy Formula", will feature 10 brand new cuts and will be produced by "His Eminence the Wicked" of Terror of the Trees.The band will finally return to playing live after a one-year long absence from the stage in late July/early August 2007!

Mem V.Stein: "The album will speak for it self but the wait was worth while. The energy around and leading up to the recording has been extremely intense and positive. Everyone involved is "on edge", in a productive way.It's been almost one year since SD's last stage performance. The entire band can't wait to play the new songs live and also introduce our new bassist."

SD added a 2nd guitarist to their roster. Bronx raised, Lou Cortez, has joined the band in December 2006, and is now a permanent member.

The band pushed their recording date back to late May 2007, and are in the end stages of the writing process for the new album. The new cd titled "The Entropy Formula” will be produced by Terror of the Trees mastermind, His Eminence the Wicked. The recording will also feature Craig "The Reaper" Horval of Nunslaugthter/Crucified Mortals on bass. The artwork for the album will be created by Sean Taggart, who was responsible for mid eighties cover artwork from bands such as Agnostic Front, Crumbsuckers and Carnivore.

Mem: "The new material is definitely in the vein of eighties thrash metal with traces of hardcore and a lot of guitar harmonies. It captures the spirit and sound of New York City's inspiring griminess."

"The Entropy Formula" will be released via Twilight Distribution in late summer of 2007.

SD HOSTS GERMAN METAL TV SHOW ON THE WEB

Mem co-hosted Germany's "Strike" metal show, Saturday 01/20/07, on www.streetclip.tv - However, the broadcasting times were changed in the last minute and the show was streamed later on during the evening. The band would like to extend their apologies for any inconveniences. The re-runs of the show will air @ 21:30 hrs CET and 3:30 pm East Coast/ 12:30 pm West Coast, on Sunday, 01/21/07

The show was recorded during a trip to Germany the singer recently took and reaches a worldwide audience. "STRIKE" is accessible for free on the worldwide web and broadcasts Metal video clips weekly, most of them uncensored.
